Application Method

Seed Treatment, Seed Treatment Commercial, Seed Treatment on Farm

Application Information

Apply Dividend XL RTA directly to seed prior to or during seeding.

Dividend XL RTA is ready-to-apply through common on-farm and commercial seed treating equipment, using standard gravity flow or mist type seed treatment equipment which accurately meters and mixes a flowable seed treatment. Dividend XL RTA may also be used in a treat-on-the-go air seeder. The equipment must provide uniform coverage of Dividend XL RTA on the seed. Uneven seed coverage may not give the desired level of disease control.

Mixing Order

Because Dividend XL RTA is a water-based formulation, water is all it takes to clean it up. This means you won't have to be concerned about leftover treatment sticking to equipment where it can contaminate subsequent loads of seed.

Cleanup:

  1. Triple rinse empty jug with water -- add rinsate directly into seed treating equipment.
  2. After use, flush treating equipment with water.

Use Restrictions

  1. Do not use treated seed for food, feed or oil processing.
  2. Do not graze, feed green forage or cut for hay within 35 days of planting cereals.
  3. Do not plant any crop other than cereals, within 30 days to fields in which treated seeds were planted.

Tank Mixes

For the control of true loose smut (Ustilago nuda) in barley, mix Dividend XL RTA Fungicide with either Charter, Raxil 250FL or Baytan 30.

Mode of Action

Dividend XL RTA contains the systemic triazole fungicide, difenoconazole, and the systemic phenylamide fungicide, metalaxyl-M. Dividend XL RTA protects the seed, the emerging shoot and the young seedling from the inside out. This systemic action can result in faster starts, stronger stands, more heads and the potential for bigger yields.
