About this Product

Quality preservation in potatoes.

Stadium® post-harvest fungicide helps preserve the quality of potatoes in storage by minimizing losses due to Fusarium and silver scurf*. It delivers multiple modes of action for a broader spectrum of control. Stadium should be used in an integrated, full season approach from seed treatment to storage for best results.

* Stadium is registered for suppression of silver scurf.

Product Benefits

  • Three modes of action for broad spectrum control and built-in resistance management
  • Protection against the spread of Fusarium and silver scurf infection from diseased tubers in storage

Application Information

Coverage is key. In order for Stadium to be effective, coverage of the entire potato is required.  Any untreated areas of the potato will not be protected.

Stadium should be applied as a post-harvest spray on the line after harvest at a rate of 32.5 mL/ metric tonne. The total slurry volume should be 2 L per metric tonne of potatoes. Treated potatoes should be just barely wet; if they are shiny or water is dripping off of them, the carrier volume is too high.

To improve coverage of the entire tuber and reduce waste:

  • Ensure that:
    • Potatoes are as free of dirt as possible
    • Tubers are tumbling and/or rotating along a conveyor line as they are treated
    • A full flow of potatoes is maintained on the conveyor, reducing the amount of open space between tubers
  • Set up a shield to minimize spray drift if operating outside or if using finer spray nozzles
  • Position the nozzle spray pattern so that Stadium is applied to the potatoes only and not the conveyor sides or shielding
  • Check for obstructions such as hanging hoses, which can interfere with the spray pattern

Applications of Stadium that occur more than two days after harvest will not be effective at controlling Fusarium.

Mixing Order

  1. Add 1/2 - 2/3 of the required amount of water to the spray or mixing tank.
  2. With the agitator running, add Stadium to the tank.
  3. Continue agitation while adding the remainder of the water.
  4. Begin application of the spray solution after Stadium has completely dispersed into the mix water.
  5. Maintain agitation until all of the mixture has been sprayed.
  6. Label dosage rate must not be exceeded.
  7. This product must not be mixed with any product which prohibits such mixing.
  8. If a tank mix with Confine is to be made follow the instructions in the Tank Mix section.

Use Restrictions

MRLs for Stadium fungicide have not been established yet for export outside of North America. Do not use Stadium on potatoes grown for seed.
