Group 29 Fungicide; Active Ingredient: Fluazinam
Mode of Action
Allegro contains a new chemistry called pyridinamine.
Allegro has a multi-site mode of action. It is a protectant non-systemic fungicide that is very active against late blight, including spore stages. Allegro disrupts energy production in the fungus mitochondria.
For resistance management purposes, please note that Allegro contains fluazinam, a Group 29 fungicide, which is considered to have a low risk of resistance development. However, as a general principle, it is recommended not to rely exclusively on the same product for pest control. To prolong effectiveness of this product, consult the label for resistance management strategies.
Allegro has a multi-site mode of action making development of resistant fungal strains extremely unlikely. This product is an excellent rotation partner for single-site mode of action products like Quadris.
