Cruiser Maxx®Vibrance®Pulses seed treatment combines a powerful insecticide with three systemic fungicides to protect your pulse crops against early-season disease, pea leaf weevil and wireworm attack.  Plus, Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Pulses delivers best-in-class Rhizoctonia control.

Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Pulses controls a broad spectrum of insects and seed and soil-borne diseases in pulses including, but not limited to:

  • Wireworms
  • Pre- and post-emergent damping-off (caused by Fusarium spp., Pythium spp., and Rhizoctonia spp.)
  • Seedling blight (caused by Fusarium spp., Pythium spp., and Rhizoctonia spp.)
  • Seed Rot (caused by Fusarium spp., Pythium spp., and Rhizoctonia spp.)
  • Seed-borne Ascochyta blight and foot rot
  • Pea leaf weevil in dry peas
  • Seed rot and seedling blight caused by seed-borne Botrytis spp. in lentils

Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Pulses can be applied on-farm provided a closed-system treater* is used:

  • Cruiser 5FS @ 50 mL / 100 kg of seed
  • Apron Maxx RTA @ 325 mL /100 kg of seed
  • Vibrance 500FS @ 10 mL / 100 kg of seed

*Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Pulses must be applied using a closed-system seed treater.  Please contact your local Syngenta Representative for further information.

Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Pulses is also available through commercial seed treaters:

  • Cruiser 5FS @ 50 to 83 mL / 100 kg of seed
  • Apron Maxx RFC @ 100 mL / 100 kg of seed
  • Vibrance 500FS @ 10 mL / 100 kg of seed

Application Information

Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Pulses can be applied by a commercial treater or on-farm. When applied on-farm, a closed system seed treater must be used. Please contact your local Syngenta Representative for further information

Use Restrictions

  • For use in commercial seed treatment facilities or on-farm with closed transfer system only
  • Do not use treated seed for food or feed
  • Do not graze or feed livestock on treated areas for 60 days after planting
  • If re-cropping is required, refer to the product labels for restrictions.

Tank Mixes

Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Pulses is compatible with Rhizobium based inoculants. Please check with inoculant manufacturers for details prior to use.

Chemistry Group

Group 4 insecticide; Group 4, Group 7 and Group 12 fungicides

Mode of Action

Thiamethoxam, the active ingredient in Cruiser, moves systemically throughout the plant and protects against target pests through stomach activity. Once absorbed through feeding, Cruiser interferes with the receptors in an insect that transmit the message to feed. As a result, the insect stops feeding and the plant is protected.

Fludioxonil, Metalaxyl-M and Sedaxane are the fungicide active ingredients in Cruiser Maxx Vibrance Pulses.

Metalaxyl m = Group 4 = phenylamide – targets RNA polymerase I
Fludioxonil = Group 12 = phenylpyrroles – affects signal transduction
Sedaxane = Group 7 = succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor – affects respiration
Thiamethoxam = Group 4A = neonicotinoid – affects nerve action

 

Resistance Management

For resistance management, please note that CRUISER MAXX VIBRANCE BEANS Seed Treatment contains Group 4, Group 7 and Group 12 fungicides and a Group 4 insecticide.  Any fungal and (or) insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to CRUISER MAXX VIBRANCE BEANS Seed Treatment and other Group 4, Group 7 or Group 12 fungicides and Group 4 insecticides.  A gradual or total loss of pest control may occur over time if these fungicides/insecticides are used repeatedly in the same fields.  Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action but specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist.  Appropriate resistance management strategies should be followed.

To delay insecticide and fungicide resistance:

Where possible, rotate the use of CRUISER MAXX BEANS Seed Treatment or other Group 4, Group 7 and Group 12 fungicides and Group 4 insecticides with different groups that control the same pathogens/pests.

Fungicide and insecticide use should be based on an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program that includes scouting, historical information related to pesticide use and crop rotation and considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices.

Monitor treated fungal and insecticide populations for resistance development.  If disease continues to progress after treatment with this product, do not increase the use rate. Discontinue use of this product, and switch to another fungicide and insecticide product with a different target site of action, if available.

Contact your local extension specialist or certified crop advisors for any additional pesticide resistance-management and (or) IPM recommendations for specific crops and pathogens or pest problems in your area.
