Today, Canadians come together to celebrate one of our most important sectors – that of agriculture and food.
February 13, 2018, is the second Canada’s Agriculture Day, a day to showcase all the amazing things happening in the industry and encourage and support a closer connection between consumers, our food, and the people who produce it.
Syngenta is again actively supporting and participating in Canada’s Agriculture Day in a number of different ways.
“We have a team at Syngenta Canada who are proud to be part of the agriculture community, helping to grow and develop this vital, innovative industry,” shares Syngenta Canada President Jay Bradshaw.
To mark this edition of Canada’s Agriculture Day, Syngenta is participating in the Canada’s Agriculture Day event in Ottawa hosted by Agriculture More Than Ever; engaging youth on the subject of soil health; and using social media to share our pride of the work by those in the sector and the contributions it makes to Canada’s success.
Bradshaw also penned an opinion piece, titled Zero Sum Debate Not Helpful to Advancing Sustainable Food Production, which talks about the challenges and opportunities associated with sustainability and sustainable food production and the need for a shared vision and approach. “It’s time to really work together with a clear sense of what the future of food production looks like and will actually be,” Bradshaw concludes.
