[Scene switches to shots of soybean seeds being planted in the field.] ERIC: And this simply is the difference between the seed and seeds per acre that a grower plants, and the final count. [Scene switches to a close-up shot of an emerging row of soybeans. It then switches back to Eric in the field, speaking to the camera.] ERIC: This - often, under ideal conditions, a good planting system, good equipment, certified seed, treated seed - can be in the range of 10 to 15 per cent. This is entirely acceptable, but in many cases working with growers we see it 15 to 30 per cent and even beyond 30 percent. [Scene quickly shows shots of rows of emerging soybeans, then goes back to Eric speaking to the camera.] ERIC: We need to close that gap. We know that targeting that optimum population, we want to achieve that with a high degree of success, and closing or narrowing the gap or the attrition rate is important to grow the best crop of soybeans.
