About this Product

With two strong fungicides available as a co-pack, Syngenta has your dry beans covered with excellent disease protection from Allegro® and Quadris® fungicides.

Allegro inhibits the formation and movement of spores, thereby stopping disease before it can spread and take over the crop. Look to Allegro for outstanding activity against white mould.

For protection that grows with your dry bean crop, trust Quadris. Well known for its high mobility within dry bean plants, Quadris offers protection against anthracnose. By using the plant’s own feeding system, Quadris provides consistent, wall-to-wall coverage against foliar diseases at critical growth stages, resulting in better quality and yield.

Application Information

Use Rates

0.25 L/acre of Allegro + 0.20 L/acre of Quadris (40 acres per case.)

Water Volume

Apply in sufficient water to obtain adequate coverage of foliage. Spray volumes to be used vary with the amount of plant growth. Spray volume will range from 20-60 gal/acre (200-600 L/ha or 80-240 L/ac).

Application Method

Application Information

  • First application should be made when plants are at 10% to 50% bloom.
  • Make a second application 7-10 days later. Under conditions favorable for severe disease development use the shorter application interval.

Mixing Order

  1. Ensure that the sprayer interior is clean, then fill the spray tank with ½ the required amount of water and engage gentle agitation. Good agitation is indicated by a rippling or rolling action on the surface of the water.
  2. Add Allegro 500F (SC) and agitate to ensure complete mixing.
  3. Add Quadris (SC) and agitate to ensure complete mixing.
  4. Add any EC formulation mix partners and agitate to ensure complete mixing.
  5. Fill the tank to ¾ the required amount of water.
  6. Finish filling the sprayer with water, maintaining good agitation.
  7. After any break in spraying operations, agitate thoroughly before spraying again.
  8. Spray the pesticide suspension the same day as mixing.
  9. Do not mix, load or clean spray equipment where there is a potential to contaminate wells or aquatic systems.

Effects of Weather

  • Avoid application when heavy rain is forecast.

Technical Information

Chemistry Group

Allegro is a Group 29 fungicide; Active Ingredient: Fluazinam (500 g/L)

Quadris is a Group 11 fungicide; Active Ingredient: Azoxystrobin (250 g/L)

Mode of Action

Allegro® Quadris® Bean Pack is a fungicide that combined the contact action of Allegro 500F fungicide and the systemic action of Quadris flowable fungicide. This disease protection package contains fluazinam in combination with azoxystrobin.

Quadris fungicide has the X-Factor™, a unique feature that allows it to protect new plant tissue as it grows. It uses the plant’s xylem, the main artery for moving water and minerals to leaves and pods, to move itself up and out to all new growing tissue, giving leaves and stems consistent, wall-to-wall coverage.

Resistance Management

For resistance management purposes, please note that Allegro 500F Fungicide contains fluazinam, a Group 29 fungicide, which is considered to have a low risk of resistance development. However, as a general principle, it is recommended not to rely exclusively on the same product for pest control. To prolong effectiveness of this product, consult the label for resistance management strategies.

Allegro has a multi-site mode of action making development of resistant fungal strains extremely unlikely. This product is an excellent rotation partner for single-site mode of action products.

For Resistance management, please note that Quadris contains a Group 11 fungicide. Any fungal population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Quadris and other Group 11 fungicides. A gradual or total loss of pest control may occur over time if these fungicides are used repeatedly in the same fields. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action but specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance-management strategies should be followed.
