About this Product

Your Foundation Acre soybean herbicide – keep your soybean fields weed free to V3.

For soybean growers who want enhanced crop performance from early season weed control, Boundary® LQD offers superior, season-long grass and Eastern black nightshade control.

Product Benefits

  • Use as part of your management plan to suppress waterhemp.
  • Formulation: Boundary LQD provides trusted weed control with the convenience of an emulsifiable concentrate formulation that pours as a liquid for easy and fast handling.
  • Premium residual control: Trust Boundary LQD for season-long control of annual grasses, nightshade and redroot pigweed.
  • Maximize yield: Achieve more of the yield potential in your soybeans by reducing weed competition early in the season. Similar to corn, research shows that soybeans also have a “critical weed-free period” and that keeping soybean weed free to V3 is an important part of managing for high yields.
  • Tank mix flexibility to fit your farm: Mix Boundary LQD with your preferred tank mix partner for broad spectrum weed control.

Packaging

  • Each case contains 2 x 10 L jugs
  • 450 L totes

For sale for use in eastern Canada only.

Uses

For use on:

Glyphosate-tolerant Soybeans

For management of:

Grasses:

Broadleaf weeds:

1 Pre-emergent treatments sometimes give better control than pre-plant surface, pre-plant incorporated or post-emergent treatments.
2 Some naturally occurring triazine tolerant biotypes of these weeds may not be controlled by Boundary LQD.
3 Pre-plant incorporated treatment only. Extended periods of dry hot weather following application may result in reduced nutsedge control.

Use Rates

1 L/ac

This rate provides season-long control of labelled weeds, and suppression of tall waterhemp.

Water Volume

  • Use a minimum of 11 gal/ac for pre-plant incorporated application.
  • Use a minimum of 16 gal/ac for pre-emergence application.

Application Method

Application Information

In soybeans, Boundary LQD can be applied as:

  • Pre-plant surface application
  • Pre-plant incorporated application
  • Pre-emergent application

Effects of Weather

  • In pre-plant surface applications, rainfall is necessary to move Boundary LQD into the upper soil surface where weed seeds germinate (Typically 1/2“ total rainfall in one or two rain events shortly after application is sufficient).
  • In pre-emergent applications, rain is required within 10 days (Typically 1/2“ total rainfall in one or two rain events shortly after application is sufficient).
  • Dry weather conditions as well as excessive rainfall or irrigation following application may reduce weed control.

Use Restrictions

  • Do not apply more than once per season regardless of method of application.
  • Do not apply by air.
  • Do not use Boundary LQD on soils with an organic matter content of less than 1% or greater than 10%.

Rainfastness

N/A

Crop Safety

Injury to soybeans or reduced weed control may occur when Boundary LQD Herbicide is applied to soils with a pH of 7.5 or higher.
Soybean seeds must be planted at least 4 cm below the soil surface or crop injury may result. Do not apply if soybeans have emerged.
DO NOT USE BOUNDARY LQD HERBICIDE ON SOILS WITH AN ORGANIC MATTER CONTENT OF LESS THAN 1% OR GREATER THAN 10%.

Tank Mixes

Boundary LQD can be tank mixed with glyphosate herbicides, in surface pre-plant or pre-emergent applications on soybeans ONLY.
To control glyphosate-resistant Canada fleabane in soybean, tank-mix Boundary LQD with either Eragon or XtendiMax with VaporGrip Technology** where your soybean traits permit.
**Note: These tank mixes are unregistered but supported by Syngenta.

Resistance Management

For resistance management, please note that the components in Boundary LQD contain both a Group 5 and a Group 15 herbicide. Any weed population may contain or develop plants naturally resistant to Group 5 and/or Group 15 herbicides. Where possible, rotate the use of Boundary LQD or other Group 5 and 15 herbicides with different herbicide groups that control the same weeds in a field.
Use tank mixtures with herbicides from a different group when such use is permitted.
