Use Rates

Elatus A:  In-furrow: Apply 4–6 mL/100 m row (178 - 267 mL/ac with 36” row spacing)

Elatus B:  In-furrow: Apply 500-750mL/ha : 4.5 – 6.8 mL/100m row (202 – 303 mL/ac)

When targeting Silver scurf and Rhizoctonia, one case will treat up to 40 acres.

When targeting Verticilium wilt, use the 30 acre per case rate.

Application Method

Aerial, Ground

Application Information

In-furrow application only.

Apply as an in-furrow spray in 50 to 140 L/ha of water at planting.

At a minimum mount a spray nozzle so the spray is directed into the furrow in a 15 to 20 cm band just before the seed is covered.

The optimum spray nozzle configuration requires 2 nozzles per row: one nozzle positioned before the seed piece drops at a 20 degree angle from straight down – angled back towards the seed drop area and a second nozzle positioned to apply after the seed has dropped and before hill closure at an angle of 60 degrees from straight down angled towards the hill closers.

Mixing Order

Wales Symbols: Elatus A = L. Elatus B = E.

  1. Add ½ - ¾ of the required amount of water to the spray or mixing tank.
  2. With the agitator running, add Elatus A to the tank.
  3. Allow the Elatus A to completely disperse into the mix water. Continue agitation while adding the remainder of the water and Elatus B to the spray tank.
  4. Spray the mixture with the agitator running.

Use Restrictions

  • Apply once in-furrow. If an application of Elatus is made, DO NOT apply more than one application of Aprovia Top fungicide in subsequent foliar applications.

Chemistry Group

Group 11 and 7 fungicides

Mode of Action

Elatus is a broad-spectrum product containing two fungicides. It has preventive and systemic properties and is recommended for the control of many important diseases.

Resistance Management

Elatus contains a Group 7 fungicide and a Group 11 fungicide. Any fungal population may contain individuals naturally resistant to benzovindiflupyr and azoxystrobin or other Group 7 and 11 fungicides. A gradual or total loss of pest control may occur over time if these fungicides are used repeatedly in the same fields.
