  • Potato tubers of top killed plants mature naturally, developing a thicker and more scuff resistant skin
  • Desiccated potato vines pass through harvesting equipment easier
  • Reduces late-season transmission of diseases due to less skinning
  • Works on contact and is rainfast in 15 minutes for faster desiccation

Aerial, Ground

Application Information

 Potatoes - Application timing

  • Spray at least two weeks before harvest to top kill potato plants.
  • Best results are obtained after growth has passed its peak and adequate skin set has been established.
  • Agral® 90 is not recommended in the spray mixture except in certain geographies under certain conditions.  Please consult the label for more information.

Chickpeas - Application timing

  • Desi: Apply when the majority of plants are yellow, most pods are mature and seeds have turned from green to yellow or brown (upper part of plant may still be green)
  • Kabuli: Apply when the majority of plants and pods are ripe and dry, and seeds have turned from green to white or tan and detached from the pods

Lentils (all) - Application timing

  • The majority of plants are turning yellow (excluding dips and knolls)
  • Upper pods are fleshy green; seeds may be immature
  • Middle pods are light green to yellow; seeds are full-size but not juicy
  • Bottom pods are brown and dry, but not split; seeds are quite hard and will rattle

Lentils - Harvest

  • Typically 4–10 days after spraying Reglone*

Peas (all) - Harvest

  • Typically 5–7 days after spraying Reglone*

Peas (green) - Application timing

  • Average moisture content is no more than 45% and the crop begins to take on an overall yellow appearance
  • Upper pods are fleshy green, or starting to turn yellow; seeds may be immature
  • Middle pods are light green to yellow, somewhat shrunken and leathery; seeds are full-size and soft, but not juicy, and split when squeezed
  • Bottom pods are dry, translucent and seeds are easily detached from them
  • Use crop maturity and moisture content as a guideline for Reglone application timing

Peas (yellow) - Application timing

  • Early onset of colour change from green to yellow
  • Top/upper middle pods are shrunken and leathery and seeds split when squeezed
  • Lower middle/bottom pods are dry, translucent and shrunken, and seeds within pods are detached

*Length of time to harvest varies with temperature, wind and precipitation after application.

Mixing Order

  1. Fill tank 3/4 full with water.
  2. Begin agitation and continue throughout mixing and spraying.
  3. Add correct amount of Reglone.
  4. Add Agral 90 adjuvant at 0.1% v/v (where required).
  5. Fill with correct amount of water.

Effects of Weather

  • Drought stress will thicken plant cuticles, reducing efficacy
  • Late-season moisture can spur growth of indeterminate crops and reduce efficacy
  • Do not apply to potatoes that are stressed by drought or excess moisture (standing water). Applications under stressed conditions may result in processed tuber discoloration.

Use Restrictions

Re-cropping

  • No restrictions

Pre-harvest interval

  • Pulse crops: 4–10 days, depending on weather and crop
  • Potatoes: 7 days

Storage

  • Do not freeze

Grazing

  • Crop residues may be fed to livestock
