About this Product

Keep calm and Reglone Ion.
Reglone® Ion desiccant controls harvest timing while protecting yield and grade. Reglone Ion provides fast, complete drydown of your crop allowing you to take control of your harvest. Reglone Ion has the surfactant pre-mixed, so you always use the right one.

Product Benefits

  • Quicker drydown for more precise harvest control and the ability to harvest more acres per day
  • Maximizes pea and lentil yields and minimizes grade loss
  • Works on contact and is rainfast in 15 minutes for faster desiccation than systemic herbicides
  • Pre-mixed with surfactant to reduce issues with using incorrect surfactants or incorrect surfactant rates

Packaging

  • Each case contains 2 x 10 L jugs
  • 115 L drums
  • 450 L totes

Uses

For use on:

  • Pulse crops (crop Group 6): chickpeas, lentils, peas, beans, soybeans
  • Flax
  • Forage seed crops
  • Sunflowers
  • Pod-shatter resistant canola

For management of:

Reglone Ion is a pre-harvest desiccant that dries down crops quickly. Complete dry down performance is dependent on crop maturity at application and rate of Reglone Ion used.

Application Information

Use Rates

Ground Application:

Peas & Lentils:  0.83 L/ac for ground application (Reglone 240 equivalent rate is 0.69 L/ac)
Chickpeas: 0.83 L/ac for ground or aerial application (Reglone 240 equivalent rate is 0.69 L/ac)

Aerial Application:

Peas & Lentils:   0.83-1.12 L/ac (Reglone 240 equivalent rates are 0.69-0.93 L/ac)
Chickpeas: 0.83 L/ac (Reglone 240 equivalent rate is 0.69 L/ac)

Notes:

  • Refer to the label for rates on all other crops.
  • Use higher rates for dense canopy and/or weedy crops.
  • Reglone 240:  Must add non-ionic surfactant such as Agral® 90, required at 1L/1000L spray solution. To convert your trusted Reglone 240 rate to a Reglone Ion rate, simply multiply by a factor of 1.2.
  • Reglone Ion: All-in-one formulation.  No surfactant required.

Water Volume

  • Ground: Minimum of 20 gal/ac or 200 L/ha
  • Air: Minimum of 5 gal/ac or 50 L/ha

Application Information

Green peas - Application timing

  • Average moisture content is no more than 45% and the crop begins to take on an overall yellow appearance
  • Upper pods are fleshy green, or starting to turn yellow; seeds may be immature
  • Middle pods are light green to yellow, somewhat shrunken and leathery; seeds are full-size and soft, but not juicy, and split when squeezed
  • Bottom pods are dry, translucent and seeds are easily detached from them
  • Use crop maturity and moisture content as a guideline for Reglone Ion application timing

Yellow peas - Application timing

  • Early onset of colour change from green to yellow
  • Top/upper middle pods are shrunken and leathery and seeds split when squeezed
  • Lower middle/bottom pods are dry, translucent and shrunken, and seeds within pods are detached

Peas (all) - Harvest

  • Typically 5–7 days after spraying Reglone Ion*

Lentils (all) - Application timing

  • The majority of plants are turning yellow (excluding dips and knolls)
  • Upper pods are fleshy green; seeds may be immature
  • Middle pods are light green to yellow; seeds are full-size but not juicy
  • Bottom pods are brown and dry, but not split; seeds are quite hard and will rattle

Lentils (all) - Harvest

  • Typically 4–10 days after spraying Reglone Ion***

 Chickpeas - Application timing

  • Desi: Apply when the majority of plants are yellow, most pods are mature and seeds have turned from green to yellow or brown (upper part of plant may still be green)
  • Kabuli: Apply when the majority of plants and pods are ripe and dry, and seeds have turned from green to white or tan and detached from the pods

***Length of time to harvest varies with temperature, wind and precipitation after application.

Refer to the label for application timing for all other crops.

Mixing Order

  1. Fill tank 3/4 full with water.
  2. Begin agitation and continue throughout mixing and spraying.
  3. Add correct amount of Reglone Ion.
  4. Fill with correct amount of water

Effects of Weather

  • Drought stress will thicken plant cuticles, reducing efficacy
  • Late-season moisture can spur growth of indeterminate crops and reduce efficacy

Use Restrictions

Re-cropping: No restrictions

Pre-harvest interval: Pulse crops: 4–10 days, depending on weather and crop

Storage: Do not freeze

Grazing: Crop residues may be fed to livestock

Rainfastness

15 minutes or when dry
