Application Information

Use Rates

32 mL/100 kg seed of Vibrance Ultra Potato.
5.3 mL/100 kg seed of Colour Coat Blue included in second chamber of jug

This rate will deliver 2.5 g ai/100 kg seed of difenoconazole and sedaxane, and 5.0 g ai/100 kg seed of mandipropamid.

One jug treats 330 cwt. One case treats 1,320 cwt.

Water Volume

The recommended total slurry volume is 130 mL/100 kg (60 mL/cwt) of seed. If Vibrance Ultra Potato is being applied as a standalone product, mix the labelled rate of 32 mL/100 kg (14.5 mL/cwt) of seed with the colourant at 5.3 mL/100kg (2.4 mL/cwt) and 93 mL of water/100 kg of seed. Subtract the equivalent water volume if any other product eg. Actara or Fortenza is mixed in the tank. Individual treating conditions may require optimization of slurry volume to obtain good seed piece coverage.

Application Information

Vibrance Ultra Potato is sold in a unique jug with a separate compartment for blue colourant that lets growers visually evaluate coverage of their seed pieces.

  1. To apply Vibrance Ultra Potato with the colourant, remove both caps from the jug and set them aside.
  2. Hold the jug sideways to better control the pour and let the colourant mix with the fungicide formulation as it enters the mix tank.
  3. Once both compartments are empty, fill them part way with rinse water, replace the caps and shake well, then pour the rinse water into the tank.
  4. Repeat this step three times. Be sure to track the volume of water being added to the slurry during rinsing.
  5. Top up with the remaining water to meet the slurry total volume.

For best results, mix multiple batches a day. Do not leave a slurry sitting in the treater overnight.
Mix thoroughly and treat using a closed system.

Use Restrictions

An application of Vibrance Ultra Potato may impact the number of Revus® and Orondis® Ultra applications that can be made to a field, depending on seeding rate. Refer to this chart for the maximum number of foliar applications allowed following the use of Vibrance Ultra Potato as potato seed piece treatment. DO NOT apply more than 600 g mandipropamid/ha/year.

SEEDING RATE
(Recommended application rate for Vibrance Ultra Potato is 14.5 mL/cwt, or 2.2 g of mandipropamid/cwt)
Number of foliar applications at the mid rate of Revus1 or Orondis Ultra1 (assuming Vibrance Ultra Potato is applied at 14.5 mLcwt) Number of foliar applications at the high rate of Revus2 or Orondis Ultra2 (assuming Vibrance Ultra Potato is applied at 14.5 mLcwt)
Under 24 cwt/ac 4 3

1. Mid rate for Revus and Orondis Ultra 190 mL/acre          2. High rate for Revus and Orondis Ultra 240 mL/acre

Crop Safety

Do not plant any crop other than corn, cereals, canola, soybeans, dry beans, dry peas, chickpeas, lentils and sugar beets, within 60 days to fields in which seed treated with Vibrance Ultra Potato were planted.

Mode of Action

All of the active ingredients sedaxane, mandipropamid, and difenoconazole in Vibrance Ultra Potato are systemic chemistries. Therefore they all move into the plant as the seed-piece germinates and plant grows, and protect the plants by inhibiting growth of key seed- and soil-borne pathogens listed on the label.

Resistance Management

For resistance management, Vibrance Ultra Potato contains sedaxane, mandipropamid, and difenoconazole, Group 3, 7 and 40 fungicides. Any fungal population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Vibrance Ultra Potato and other Group 3, 7 and 40 fungicides. A gradual or total loss of pest control may occur over time if these fungicides are used repeatedly in the same fields. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action but specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance-management strategies should be followed.
