Lentils free from anthracnose

In short...

  • Ease of use: Lentil fungicide with a wide application window from first flower to row closure
  • Visibly cleaner and greener canopy: Increased chlorophyll and light capture helps deliver a more productive crop1
  • Yield benefits: Outyielded competitors by 3.7 bu/ac in Syngenta commercial validation trials2

What is Elatus® Era Fungicide?

Elatus® Era fungicide is the newest addition to the Syngenta pulse protection lineup – built to give Canadian lentil growers superior, long-lasting control of anthracnose and white mould.

Powered by the proven combination of SOLATENOL® (Group 7) and prothioconazole (Group 3), this new fungicide delivers a strong performance against lentil diseases.

What diseases does Elatus® Era control?

Great news for lentil growers – Elatus® Era’s two powerful modes of action deliver superior protection against the most threatening yield- and quality-robbing diseases in lentils:

  • Anthracnose (including Group 11-resistant biotypes)
  • Ascochyta blight
  • Sclerotinia white mould

How does Elatus® Era protect lentil yields?

Anthracnose and white mould are notorious for cutting yields, slowing harvest and reducing profitability. With increasing concerns over resistance, particularly to Group 11, growers need solutions that protect yield today and preserve tools for tomorrow.

By bringing two complementary modes of action together for exceptional control of these diseases, Elatus® Era not only protects from disease, but also helps plants stay greener longer.

The disease protection of SOLATENOL® creates a visibly cleaner, greener canopy that results in higher yields, consistently outperforming competitors1. Elatus® Era delivers confidence that lentils can reach their full potential.

Why choose Elatus® Era?

Elatus® Era contains SOLATENOL® – the only Group 7 active registered on lentils that is proven to deliver long-lasting anthracnose control, even where resistance to Group 11 is present. When paired with prothioconazole, growers can count on robust, broad-spectrum protection and peace of mind.

And with a wide application window from first flower to row closure, Elatus® Era provides flexible timing to maximize disease suppression.

In 2025, large field scale trials Elatus® Era delivered more yield +80% of the time over competitors by controlling both anthracnose and white mould.

Across 17 trial locations in Western Canada, Elatus® Era saw an average 3.7 bu/ac yield advantage over competitors with an average return of $49/ac.

Return On Investment calculation subtracts Suggested Retail Price of product and assumes an application cost of $12/ac (if compared to untreated) and lentil cash price of $14.10/bushel at 60 lb/bu weight or 23.5c/pound (average cash price of #2 Green Lentil and #2 Red Lentil as of September 2, 2025). Return on investment is based on the foregoing assumptions. Individual results may vary.
