Fighting striped flea beetle feeding in canola
February 9, 2022
Be aggressive in the fight against striped flea beetles.
Striped flea beetles can be harmful to a canola crop. They emerge earlier than crucifer flea beetles and consume more plant material.
Striped flea beetles are now found all over the western Prairies. The damage they cause is less visible initially, allowing the pests to reach threshold before you realize they’re eating away at your crop’s profit potential.
In adverse weather conditions, they continue to feed on the underside of leaves and stems.
Take control of striped flea beetle feeding
Fortenza® Advanced seed treatment provides unparalleled protection from both striped and crucifer flea beetles. Sulfoxaflor, one of two active ingredients in Fortenza® Advanced insecticide treatment, is very active on striped flea beetles and provides significant additional protection beyond what foundation seed treatments can offer.
