Here are some recommendations to get the most out of your Reflex application:

Application timing

• Size of weeds is critical. Weeds must be very small for optimal control.
• Spray at first to second trifoliate. If weeds are advanced and you need to spray earlier than first trifoliate to get good control, beans will not be injured.
• The best recommendation for timing is applying 18-21 days after planting the beans
• Reflex should be applied during the day; best control is generally achieved between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Rate and water volume

• Coverage is key to getting good control – “Paint it on!”
• Use Reflex at 0.4 L/ac in a minimum of 20 U.S. gallons per acre (200 litres per hectare).
• Nozzles that deliver medium sized droplets (flat fan or similar) for best coverage are highly recommended.
• Air induction or coarse droplet tips are not recommended.

Adjuvants

• Always use an adjuvant with Reflex. Use 0.5% v/v Carrier or Sure-Mix™ surfactant of spray solution.

Tough or big weeds?

• Apply Reflex at 0.4 L/ac with 0.5% v/v Carrier or Sure-Mix™ surfactant of spray solution.
• Add 0.8 L/acre of 28%.
• Apply in 25-30 gal/ac of water.
• Flat fan nozzles are highly recommended. Air induction or coarse droplet tips are not recommended.

Tank mixing

• On dry beans, when tank mixing with Basagran^® Forte (which has a significant amount of surfactant and oil), Carrier or Sure-Mix™ at 2 L/1000 L is often sufficient for optimal control.

Weeds on the Reflex label

• Control: Common ragweed, redroot pigweed, wild mustard, lady’s-thumb, Eastern black nightshade, and cocklebur (less than 4 leaves)
• Suppression: Lamb’s-quarters (2-4 leaf) and velvetleaf (less than 3 leaves)
