The Alberta Crop Report provides timely provincial and regional summaries of crop production in Alberta during the crop season, and is used by industry and other stakeholders for various purposes, including drought monitoring and forecasting of production insurance payments. The report is also used to validate some of the Alberta crop estimates generated by Statistics Canada. Data for the report is collected through regular surveys on moisture and crop conditions, progress of seeding and harvesting, insect and disease situation, yield potential and crop quality, etc., along with information from other sources. Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation (AGI) has delivered the Alberta Crop Reporting Program to clients since 1940.For the detailed report please visit: https://open.alberta.ca/publications/2830245 Source: DePutter Publishing Ltd.
