Agricorp Releases Ontario Winter Wheat Yield Map

Agricorp has released its annual yield map for the 2025 Ontario winter wheat harvest.

According to the provincial crop insurer, production insurance customers reported average to above average winter wheat yields, with Soft Red Winter wheat averaging 110% of average farm yield. This continues the trend of above average winter wheat yield that was seen in 2024, Agricorp said.

As can be seen from the map below, some of the strongest winter wheat yields in the southwestern part of the province were seen in Chatham-Kent, Oxford, Perth, and Waterloo counties, along with the Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry in the far eastern reaches of the province.

Statistics Canada in September estimated the average 2025 Ontario winter wheat yield at 91.3 bu/acre, down from 95.8 bu a year earlier and the lowest since 2021 at 90.9 bu.
