Amid a fifth pandemic wave, Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is continuing to offer support to COVID-weary Canadian producers.
In a release Thursday, FCC president and CEO Michael Hoffert said the latest pandemic wave is creating ‘additional challenges’ for some farmers.
“If you are a producer concerned about having the cash flow required to plant your crop or feed your livestock, or you are a food processor feeling the impact of lost production due to a supply chain disruption, FCC is here to support you,” Hoffort said. “Customer support is a cornerstone of our business and it’s challenging times like these where we can help.”
From the onset of the pandemic - and through the weather challenges of the past year - FCC has been offering such things as loan payment deferrals and increased credit lines to assist customers in navigating the difficult times.
Producers whose operations have been impacted are encouraged to contact their FCC relationship manager or the FCC Customer Service Centre at 1-888-332-3301 to discuss their individual situation and options.
