ICE Close: European Rapeseed Worries Lift Canola

Canola futures posted strong gains to begin the week amid concerns about the European winter rapeseed crop.

Chronically wet, and then especially cold weather over the weekend, has raised rapeseed production worries. Reports suggest the miserable weather and the resulting lack of bee activity could lower yields by 20% to 30%.

May canola gained $17.10 to $626.90, July was up $17.80 to $640.60, and November climbed $16.40 to $654.30.
