ICE Close: Old-Crop Higher; New-Crop Lower

Canola futures ended mixed on Thursday, with old-crop contracts lower and new-crop slightly higher.

The action in canola mirrored that of Chicago soybeans, with the nearby January contract posting losses while November 2024 moved a bit higher.

Weakness in soyoil and a wetter weekend forecast for Brazil were bearish factors for canola.

January canola was down $2 at $700.30, March fell $1.30 to $705.40, and November 2024 added 50 cents to $707.90.
