Guelph, Ontario, Canada

Syngenta Canada has named Dale Kobelsky as head of marketing, crop protection, effective April 1, 2026. In his new role, Kobelsky will lead the national marketing team and be responsible for the marketing strategy for the Canadian crop protection business.

“Dale is a customer-focused, collaborative leader with a deep understanding of Canadian agriculture and how it shapes our business,” says Shaun Vey, president, Syngenta Canada. “His strategic mindset and ability to approach challenges with creativity have proven valuable in navigating changing market dynamics. Dale’s strong marketing background will be instrumental in driving the continued success of the Canadian crop protection business.”

Kobelsky brings 15 years of dedicated experience with Syngenta to this leadership position. Most recently, he served as head of professional solutions (SPS) for Canada, where he was recognized for his contributions to a business that is a clear market leader. Throughout his tenure, he has held several key crop protection marketing roles, including product lead, head of customer relationship management, and marketing and customer insight manager.

"I am honoured and excited to take on this new role and lead our marketing team during such a transformative time for the industry," says Kobelsky. "Having spent 15 years growing alongside Syngenta across various areas of the business, that journey has shaped my approach and prepared me to lead our marketing efforts as we advance our data-driven strategies, leverage AI, and continue to put the Canadian grower at the heart of our business. My passion for agriculture and the people who feed our world is what drives me every day, and I look forward to channelling that into everything we do for Canadian growers."

Kobelsky is also a champion for equity, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) and has been recognized for his efforts in supporting the Women in Turfgrass Management program and providing training opportunities to the turf industry on the importance of ED&I. With Kobelsky’s promotion, Gregg Wisniewski, a long-standing member of the Syngenta team and currently head business development, SPS North America, has been appointed interim head of SPS Canada.

Kobelsky will continue to serve on the Canadian crop protection leadership team and will report to Shaun Vey, president. For more information about Syngenta Canada leadership team, please visit: syngenta.ca/people.
