Pink rot is tricky to manage and can melt your storage. An integrated management program that includes an in-furrow application of Orondis® Gold Potato fungicide at planting can help protect your potatoes.

Orondis Gold Potato is formulated with two active ingredients – oxathiapiprolin and metalaxyl-M – to guard daughter tubers from soil-borne diseases. It suppresses pink rot and manages those populations insensitive to metalaxyl-M, plus it can be used on all market classes of potatoes, including table, seed, chippers and processing.

Orondis Gold Potato works well within an integrated management program that can include cultural control and additional crop protection products.

In 2019, we tested integrated programs under high pressure conditions and found:

  • An in-furrow program that included oxathiapiprolin and metalaxyl-M at the same rate delivered by Orondis Gold Potato provided 90 percent control of pink rot. That’s 10 percent more control than a standard phosphorous acid program (total of 6.9 L of Confine® Extra).1
  • When the same in-furrow program was followed by one, two or three foliar applications of Confine® Extra, we observed over 95 percent control of pink rot.1
