There are very few tools that have curative activity against late blight, which means you need to stop it before it gets started.

The weekly reports from the BC Potato and Vegetable Growers Association provide an early warning system for a disease that loves the cool, wet climate found in most potato production regions in BC.

Typically, late blight arrives after flowering when the weather shifts towards cooler mornings, heavy dews and prolonged leaf wetness.

Orondis® Ultra fungicide provides two active ingredients that work together to keep fields green and able to maximize tuber fill during a critical period for the crop.

Applied at 0.16 to 0.24 L/acre, Orondis Ultra prevents late blight and protects new growth.

I used Orondis Gold Potato. Can I still use Orondis Ultra?

No. If Orondis Gold Potato fungicide was applied at planting, Orondis Ultra should not be used in the same field.

Want to reduce your resistance risk?

Consider adding Allegro®, a Group 29 fungicide, to your late blight program.

Allegro brings a different mode of action to potatoes for late blight and white mould. It's also at a low risk for developing resistance.

Targeting white mould? Use 0.16 to 0.24 L/acre.

Targeting late blight? Use 0.16 L/acre.
