Canola futures finished lower for the sixth consecutive session on Tuesday, falling to their lowest in nearly two months.
Losses in Chicago soybean futures and European rapeseed weighed on canola, as did weaker crude oil. On the other hand, soyoil posted small gains, while palm oil was also higher.
Additional pressure came from a firmer Canadian dollar, making Canadian canola less attractively priced for foreign buyers. Seasonal harvest pressure also remained a bearish influence.
January canola lost $6.30 to $793.90, and November 2027 was down $3.80 at $780.10.
