Syngenta continues to invest in significant advancements to strengthen our portfolio and better support the success of all our growers. Our corn lineup offers a significant range of high-performing product equipped with industry-leading traits, featuring the corn trait platform from Syngenta, for the most comprehensive above and below ground insect trait package available in North America. Our R&D investment has doubled our corn breeding program and tripled our experimental class to deliver a robust corn product lineup growers can trust.
Recently we invested $30 million into a trait introgression facility to ensure our newly advanced commercial corn hybrids are tested at least 2 years in our R & D testing program in the traited version scheduled to be commercialized.
In 2022 we introduced new Enogen™ corn hybrids designed to deliver improved feed efficiency to animal producers with the industry leading alpha amylase technology. This technology represents a novel approach to simplifying the breakdown of corn starch into sugar, therefore improving increase ruminal digestibility. Enogen corn helps convert starch to sugar more efficiently and rapidly providing readily available energy sooner to beef and dairy cattle.
Here are five corn hybrids we are particularly excited about for eastern Canada in 2023. Hybrids you may already be growing or will want to include in you plans as you prepare for the 2024 season include:
