Volunteer corn is an extremely competitive weed. Left untreated it can interfere with harvest and dramatically reduce yields. Studies show that just 0.5 volunteer corn plants per square meter can reduce soybean yields by 10%.¹

In IP soybean fields, volunteer corn is critical to control even at trace levels as it can impact the quality and purity of the sample.

Notes on Venture L herbicide

Application timing

• Venture L can be applied up to the third trifoliate stage of beans.
• For volunteer corn, apply Venture L at 0.25 L/ac (0.6 L/ha).Venture L will not control volunteer Enlist^® corn hybrids.
• For annual grasses, apply Venture L at 0.4 L/ac (1.0 L/ha). Stage of weeds is critical. If grasses are beyond the five-leaf stage or tillering, Venture L is not recommended.
• For quackgrass and wirestem muhly, use 0.8 L/ac (2 L/ha).

Water volumes, tank mixes and surfactants

• Apply in 8-10 gal/ac (80-100 L/ha) of water.
• Choose flat fan-type tips over air induction tips for complete coverage on grassy weeds.
• If spraying Venture L on its own at higher water volumes (i.e., more than 10 gal/ac), add NIS at 1-2 L/1000 L
• If Venture L is mixed with glyphosate in Roundup Ready^® soybeans and applied with 10-12 gal/ac (100-120 L/ha) of water, no additional surfactant is needed. Increase the rate of Venture L to 0.33 L/ac.
