Syngenta Canada has named Jana Jones as its new head of finance. A seasoned finance leader with 18 years at Syngenta, Jones will oversee the company’s financial strategy and operations in Canada, driving operational excellence and strong business partnerships.
Jones has held progressive leadership roles in finance across Canada and North America, most recently managing the full profit and loss scope of Syngenta’s Professional Solutions Business in North America. She succeeds Chris Legge, who retired recently after 17 years with the organization.
“Jana is an exceptional finance leader whose deep industry knowledge, strategic vision, and commitment to excellence make her the ideal choice to lead our finance function in Canada,” says Shaun Vey, president of Syngenta Canada. “Her proven ability to partner with the business and deliver results will be instrumental as we continue to grow and serve our customers.”
Jones is eager to take on this next chapter in her career. “I am honoured to lead the finance team at Syngenta Canada,” she said. “Having spent my career with this organization, I’ve seen firsthand the impact we make in Canadian agriculture. I look forward to working closely with our talented teams to ensure we continue to deliver strong financial stewardship and support the growth of our business.”
Beyond her leadership responsibilities, Jones is committed to mentoring the next generation of finance professionals. She champions diversity and development initiatives, including the North American Syngenta Finance Intern Program and the Syngenta Global Finance Capability Program. Jones is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
